State Trust Land Flood Plains

There are two large parcels of State Trust Land that have created conduits to long settled areas from regions of new development. One common theme among the impacted home owners and renters is the fact that only in the past four years have their properties been flooded. In the past four years, development has occurred at Sahuarita Highlands by Canoa and Horton (1) and in the Wilmont Rd.(2) area (south of Sahuarita Rd.) Both developments have clearly disturbed and rerouted large quantities of water onto State Trust Land.
